Lead an initiative
You know a market and the problems in it, and you want to run something rather than advise on it. Several initiatives are waiting on exactly this. You do not need a technical background: that is what the hub is for.
First and foremost this is a community. Staff, contractors, partners, suppliers and clients, collaborating for shared success. It works because people join in, so there is more than one way through the door.

Senior sector and initiative people, lending experience across the lifecycle. Deep enough to be useful, light enough to fit around whatever else you do.
Invest in the hub, or in a single initiative within it. Commercial success and positive impact are treated as the same job, not competing ones.
Technology, delivery and market partners. We integrate, orchestrate and govern rather than build everything ourselves, so the right partner matters.
HubIQ is a purpose-led and people-powered business. We combine digital delivery and industry intelligence to develop simple solutions that empower individuals and enable businesses to unlock the potential of innovation, information and insight.
Our higher purpose
People and partnerships power progress and performance
Innovation is a team sport. A collaborative culture, built on a shared language of innovation, creates the confidence and trust needed to turn the ideas of individual innovators into lasting and purposeful partnerships. At its core HubIQ is a community: entrepreneurs, advisers, sector stakeholders, suppliers, investors, contractors and clients, building relationships and together delivering outcomes that are collectively optimal and enduring.
Harnessing disruptive trends and technologies to challenge legacy thinking
As disproportionate adoption gives way to ubiquitous application, a new generation of disruptors is emerging, blending digital, commercial and behavioural innovation to rethink personal and professional models at a pace and creativity traditional organisations cannot match. AI is the catalyst: not a distant promise but a working reality embedded in how we think, design and deliver. Integrated across every layer of our work, it lets us build systems that learn, adapt and evolve alongside us. Digital disruption with purpose, and profoundly human.
Supporting everyday entrepreneurs to succeed
Innovation is a delicate balance. Freedom of thought with discipline of action, enthusiasm tempered by pragmatism, belief without bias. Few manage to hold all three at once, which is why most new businesses do not survive their own ambition. Our five-dimension model, 5Di, holds the tension: customer-centricity through Demand and Deploy, operating rigour through Develop and Deliver, connected and controlled by Design, and run across three waves, Bootstrapping, Base build and Business scale.
Driven by solving problems, not selling product
Simplicity is not about doing less. It is about doing what matters, so that what we build feels natural to adopt, lands immediately and keeps generating value. It begins with a deep understanding of the context, the behaviours and the mechanics that shape a problem. From there we turn complexity into clarity: elegant in form, efficient in function, and outcome-driven by design.
A simple, disciplined balance, and a cycle rather than a list. Get any one of the three wrong and the other two stop working.
A cycle in three parts. Purpose ignites people, people produce profit, and profit funds purpose. At the centre, passion unlocks potential: inspiration, insight, ideas, innovation, ingenuity.
In service of a better world
Commercial success and positive impact are not mutually exclusive. Profit attracts the finance and funding that fuels growth, and growth sustains the ability to keep adding value.
In partnership with our people and their passions
We work in partnership, aligning passions, where a connected culture lets us build relationships that cross traditional contractual boundaries.
Not just to survive, but to thrive
To attract the right people as everyday entrepreneurs, the experience has to be professionally inspiring, personally enriching and financially rewarding.

Spent a career turning services into businesses, mostly in places where the technology was the easy part. Started HubIQ to do it repeatedly rather than one at a time.

Twenty years of design leadership across regulated and consumer markets. Responsible for how an initiative feels to the person using it, and for the experience architecture that makes it hold.

Runs the operating side of the portfolio: how initiatives are stood up, staffed and governed, and how an initiative gets from a gate decision to something people can actually work in.
We are not the ones with the idea. We are the ones who join in early, in public, and make it possible for everybody else to join too.
“The first follower transforms a lone nut into a leader.”
Derek Sivers, How to start a movement. Three minutes, and the best explanation of how anything gets started that we know of. sive.rs/ff
Someone who can see a problem in their own industry clearly enough to stand up about it. Usually without a technical background, and usually well before anyone agrees with them.
We do not have the idea or the market knowledge. What we have is the willingness to join early and in public, and the means to turn a person with a good idea into someone running a business.
A movement needs the next person to find joining obvious. That is what shared foundations are for: whoever comes next inherits what the last one already built.
Every initiative carries its own name, its own market and its own leader. The hub stays deliberately quiet behind them, because a movement that is about the leader is not a movement.
